In May, we host our first event at Manchester Jewish Museum. We have commissioned new and established writers to create a series of short stories and poems inspired by archival footage of Manchester from the collections at North West Film Archive.
Using footage chosen by the authors, new writing will weave through historical shots, creating a unique live literature experience in one of the city’s finest hidden gems. The new work will blend both fact and fiction to show the way North Manchester used to live and lives now.
Our line-up will be:
Marli Roode
Rodge Glass
Polly Checkland Harding
Abi Hynes
Benjamin Judge
David Hartley
This event is in partnership with Manchester Jewish Museum and Manchester After Hours. A collection of the writing will be available to purchase after the event.
Thursday 12 May 2016 9pm at Manchester Jewish Museum, Cheetham Hill Road. Tickets are £5 - buy your tickets now.
