Bad Language in September: Carys Bray

Carys Bray

Our headliner for September will be CARYS BRAY (pictured).

Carys Bray won the Scott prize for her story collection Sweet Home. Her first novel A Song For Issy Bradley was serialised on BBC Radio Four’s Book at Bedtime. The Guardian praised Carys’ “thoroughness, imagination and dexterity”, while the Express called her novel a “stunning, unmissable debut”. In her spare time, she is probably working on a way to disappear inside books, like Woody Allen’s Sidney Kugelmass….

Join us for Manchester’s liveliest literary night. It’s at The Castle, Oldham Street, Manchester at 7.30pm on Wednesday 24th September. Free: no booking required.
