Bad Language in July: Anneliese Mackintosh

Anneliese Mackintosh

This month, our headliner will be ANNELIESE MACKINTOSH. We missed having Anneliese last time due to illness, so this is Anneliese Part Two: The Revenge…

Anneliese is a short story writer and associate editor whose work has been broadcast on BBC Radio 4 and BBC Radio Scotland. The List declared her as “one of the UK’s most exciting new voices” in a five star review for her debut collection Any Other Mouth. The book was recommended as an essential summer read by the Scottish Book Trust” and is a nominee of the Edinburgh Book Festival’s First Book Award.

We’re tremendously excited about Anneliese finally getting the headline slot she deserves, even if Joe and Fats have to wheel her onto that Castle stage!

Bad Language takes place at The Castle, Oldham Street, Manchester at 7.30pm on Wednesday July 30. Entry is free.

Our open mic first-team this month is:

Dominic Simpson
Russell Shire
Zach Roddis
Belinda Westlake
Helen Mort
Jenny Browne
Andrew Lawson
Anna Percy
Gareth Taylor
Steve Garside
